Sometimes I do see others using this device still but with Windows 10 and no drivers support, it seems like this Box is a Brick now.
This wasn't as tragic as I had recently done a fresh install due to other issues. In another test I tried to install Pro Tools First on my older PC and the driver caused my PC to lock up and I needed to do a fresh install. I get a hard blue screen of death right away on my laptop, the ASUS ROG GL753VD It always requires a startup repair that rolls back the Mbox Driver, Pro Tools First or usually both.
When I have a clean working installation of Pro Tools First and I install the drivers, the Mbox 2 Mini works. I decided to try and see if it would work with the latest software rather than the older ones, and turns out that it can. I wanted to get it working on Windows 10 after recently upgrading from 7 and I ran into some issues with Pro Tools First. Behringer or Presonus etc.My simple question is for the people using an Mbox 2 Mini: How is your Mbox setup and how did you get it working? You can probably get a new interface for not much though if you are going to use Reaper. A person here says they didn't use compatbility mode for Pro Tools: There is some stuff on the net about getting Pro Tools working (which of course needs the MBOX as a dongle/interface. I believe I installed 8.0.1 first and then upgraded to 8.0.5.
That's about the only thing different I did. They both installed fine for me and I have done it on 3 Windows 10 machines without a hitch.Īs my Pro Tools disc is damaged I got most of the installer packages from the Avid website. The same went for Pro Tools - I didn't use compatibility mode. I don't think I even installed the driver in compatability mode - although it was probably the last one they made: Do you have the FireWire model? I have the USB model running in Windows 10 with Pro Tools LE 8.0.5.
